“You’ll never achieve more than the vision that guides you.” - Jackie Battenfield

I’m a local Seattleite, self taught artist trying to get noticed as a drop of yellow paint in a gallon of blue. 25 years old, born in Spokane, WA and raised in Ellensburg, WA. My work is always changing and evolving with me, with many styles and steps along the way. I‘m very diverse and like to keep my work fresh and awake, giving the viewer an interesting exhibit of a variety of paintings for the visual experience. The stage I’m at right now is discovering myself in my work and bringing that out with a complimentary collection that’s got rhythm and meaning. My latest work is a very contemporary, photorealist collection of mammals with a mysterious twist of surreal like features. They reflect emotion in their eyes of an unknown journey or experience of the road left behind.

I’ve stuck with painting because it’s the only thing in my life I feel one hundred percent confident that I was meant to do. It’s an escape from reality. The feeling of accomplishment and elation I get from finishing a piece sends me right on to the next even before I’m finished. In a world where everyday can be a struggle of a future so unclear, just paint a picture.
