Art is my expression, escape, and form of evolution as I spend time with sculpture, ceramics and photography along my journey. With my photography, I view life from a wide spectrum, from the uncommon abstract to common everyday occurrences. I employ different angles and perspectives, allowing the contextual eye to lead while the camera follows. The end result is artwork that I hope all viewers will connect with and enjoy. I do take photos in black and white the majority of the time, as I believe there is a certain romance and visual poetry to a black and white image. Occasionally I’ll take photographs in color. The end result, however, will be in whatever form best suits the subject. My photographs are derived from the desolate, vast and expansive deserts and landscapes, the awesome and powerful forces of nature, the past and present of people’s history and what surrounds them.
